Job Changer?
NPC: Job Changer
The Job Changer is a npc that allows players to skip the job change quest and change instantly (provided he/she meets the job requirement).
Those quest are not too hard however players who played RO for a long time have done them numerous time. Lazy players like to skip them. Do you guys think we should have this npc?

Re: NPC: Job Changer
I prefer the regular quests for job changes. So, voted for no job changer.

I seriously made the quest most of the time to change job, and they are a lot funnier to do than just talking to a NPC that tells you which class you want to be. So I voted quests too.

Re: NPC: Job Changer
I voted Job changer with a fee since a lot of players might not know where to go to change and that might lay players off unless threes a warper of course.

If they don't know where to go then they just have to check ratemyserver...Besides, I'm sure someone would tell them where to go if they just asked.

Have you never played in an official server ??Retribution wrote:I voted Job changer with a fee since a lot of players might not know where to go to change and that might lay players off unless threes a warper of course.
People need to do it the old school way ... seeing guides ( ratemyserver.net, roempire.com, etc ) or asking in the server/forum, it's way funnier than clicking 3 times in OK and being a new class ... I remember when I transformed my archer into a bard ... it felt like I was playing the game for the first time

Seriously, some of the quest are kind of hard, It gives you a nice feeling of accomplishement when you done them. Player tend to have a longer life on a server when they actually works for something.

Re: NPC: Job Changer
People are prouder when they get to finish job quests. That's how official servers like iRo lasted so long. Walking to the job changer for him to change your class is too easy.

Re: NPC: Job Changer
well we just can't say till the server opens and people start asking for one or maybe not at all
but to play it safe
i agree-->>>
remove the job change NPC (it would be fun to take those exams again w/o cheating lol)
but
place a job change warper NPC to remove the trouble of walking to dif. job change spots for lazy veteran RO players who had been doing the quest since the birth of RO
eg.
hunter > hugel
wizard > gef tower
etc...
just an opinion
please
no violent reactions

Re: NPC: Job Changer
Official quests it is, and since it will be the old ones, the hunter guild is in payon (not hugel), blacksmith in geffen, etc. Players can use the 'visit once' warpers that we'll most likely have to warp to their job change town.

Re: NPC: Job Changer
oh my bad
warp to job change spots not town
i mean a warper to the npc you need to talk to
to activate the job change quest.

Re: NPC: Job Changer
Nah, players can walk/teleport there just like they would to any location they want to reach!
We should have guides on forums however, since the RMS guide are the new ones, some job changer wont have the same location.

Anyway, most of the players don,t know half of the RO maps. A bit of walking might make them learn the map they never went on because they aren't the popular leveling spot.
